Who Are We?  

Opportunity Networks is a  Non Profit Organization serving Souhegan Valley and Greater Nashua young adults and adult residents who live with acquired and developmental disabilities. We were formerly Souhegan Valley Resources and Nashua Employment and Training - Works, Inc. (Networks), each organization with over 25 years serving individuals in the towns of  Amherst, Brookline, Greenville, Hollis, Hudson, Litchfield, Merrimack, Milford, Mont Vernon, Nashua and Wilton.

Our Mission:

Opportunity Networks is committed to providing genuine vocational opportunities and activites that promote life enhancing skills for adults with developmental and acquired disabilities in Greater Nashua/Souhegan Valley community. We strive to provide meaningful work in a safe community-based environment, while working towards individula growth and fulfillment. 

What Do We Do?  

Our focus is on providing Employment Opportunities for individuals with all levels of disability. All clients receive competitive wages (minimum wages or above) for their employment experiences.

 
Three levels of programming offering a full menu of services:
  • Day Habilitation - training is offered to individuals based on their specific situation and may include: Adult Daily Living Skills, Safety Training, Community Orientation, Communication Enhancement, Physical Health and Well Being, Transportation Supports and  Training
  • Supported Employment - Development and Support of opportunities to access integrated community based employment and training for an individual.
  • Supported Employment Programming also offers development of life skills such as money management, healthy lifestyle, personal competency development, independent life skills and programming which enhances the quality of one's life.
  • Services through State of NH Vocational Rehabilitation   - career planning, job acquisition skills, resume writing, job development, work assessment, on the job training, employee -employer relationship development 
  • A customized program can be developed from our menu of employment and program options

 

  When:
  • Program hours are typically Monday through Friday. They may vary based on employment schedules.

 

Where:
  • Individuals who are part of our program work in local businesses earning competitive wages
  • We have facilities at 116 Perimeter Road, Nashua, NH
     and  11 Caldwell Drive, Amherst, NH
Why:
  • Individuals who live with disabilities can contribute their skills, claim their place in the workplace and benefit from the self-esteem associated with earning money.
  • Entry into the job market can be made more accessible when combined with our skill at understanding the individual and developing the correct job match between the individual and the employer.
  • Local businesses benefit from work produced from consistent, steady, reliable workers. If needed, the job coach who supports them in the workplace is a on-site resource for the employer as well as the employee.
